Kate showed her Hornet Pride every Friday night at the high school football games. She loved hearing the marching band play "The Hey Song".
On October 11, 1996, Kate stayed after the football game to help cleanup the stadiums with Flour Bluff's dance team, the Honeybees. This was the night of the pedestrian accident.
